Serendipity Media's Kasie Smith Named Top Ten ATHENA Young Professional Award Finalist

September 2012--The ATHENA Young Professional Award recognizes an emerging leader for their contributions to community, professional excellence, and commitment to serve as a personal and professional role model to young women.

The Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce proudly presents the following top ten finalists for the 2012 ATHENA Young Professional Award:

The selected award recipient will be named from among these finalists. The announcement will be part of the ATHENA Award Celebration set for Tuesday, September 18 at the JW Marriott International Ballroom, 235 Louis Campau St. NW. The top ten ATHENA Young Professional Award finalists will be honored along with Gemini Editor Carole Valade, the 2012 ATHENA Award recipient, during the luncheon that begins at 11:30 a.m. Finalists for both awards will be special guests at a private reception prior to the luncheon event sponsored by Huntington Bank as well as recognized during the award program.

Celebrating 10th Anniversary, New Local Magazine Launch

August 2012 -- Serendipity Media celebrates its tenth anniversary and launch of its first local magazine, West Michigan Woman, with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. to celebrate and unveil the inaugural issue of West Michigan Woman magazine, the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce will honor Serendipity Media with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the offices of Serendipity Media, LLC located at 535 Cascade West Parkway in Grand Rapids Township. Public is invited to attend the event.

July 2012 -- Our Publisher & President, Kasie Smith, was recently interviewed by Rapid Growth Grand Rapids, an online news outlet focusing on local development, businesses, and people within the community. With the launch of our newest publication, West Michigan Woman, we've been brought to the local limelight for the first time in our 10 year history.
